December Plans and Goals

Tuesday, December 04, 2012

I am going to attempt this whole blogging thing again. It will be the miracle of Christmas if I meet my goal and do it weekly through the month of December!

As you might have guessed by the lack of movement on my fitness minutes and points, I really haven't exercised much the past two months. This is something I am not proud of and am ready to end it right now! I hate the feeling of my clothes being a little too snug or the fear of wearing some things because I know they just flat won't be comfortable. I have gone from consistently hitting 1500 to 2000 fitness minutes a month to a big fat zero! Ugh! Haven't gained more than 4 pounds or so, but I am "flabby".

So, better late than never, here is my plan for December - my plan for Christmas success! Keeping in mind that I have had that nasty cough/cold thingy that has been going around for the past 2 1/2 weeks and currently feel like I am relapsing a little! So frustrating! But it doesn't mean I can't take baby steps to get back on track.

Goals for December:

Exercise ---
-Run at least 3x a week starting next week (this is due to aforementioned cold)
-Zumba at least once a week starting Friday or next week depending on how I feel
-At least 20 minutes a day of strength training at least 4x a week starting this week

Food ----
-Get back to no between meal snacking, except maybe a small snack right after I get off work. Also cut off eating no later than 8 pm
-Focus on high protein, but don't get too stressed about it.
-Listen to my body - when I feel full, stop eating. If the food doesn't really sound good, don't eat it. Not sure why I ever do that to myself in the first place....

Sleep ---
-Work to get at least 7 hours of sleep every night. I need it to kick this cold and it won’t hurt in other areas as well.

That is all. Short, simple and to the point! Not going to stress out and make my Christmas miserable, but I do want to start making progress. December success will be mine!!

Until next week.....
