Something happened at work today, that, though minor, really pissed me off. In fact, thinking about it still makes me mad, so I am not even going to type it out. But I bring it up because I was in such a pissed off mood about it that I could have easily just come home, put my pjs on, and crawled into bed. BUT I have my 31 Day Challenge going on, so I HAD to get in a workout. And I did. And honestly, it calmed me down - hence why I dont want to type it all out and make myself madder again.
Today I did another 10 Minute Solution dvd - It was some sort of Bootcamp dvd. I did 3 of the 5 workouts, totalling about 32 minutes. The first dvd included bootcamp style drills - nonstop for 10 minutes. So fun! Then I did a Total Body Workout. I used 5lb dumbbells and that was good. I could have used heavier weights, but I wouldnt have been able to hold them because of my thumb. I still think I'll feel it in the morning, though. I definitely struggled a bit with that workout - 10 minutes is seriously no joke! I ended with a 10 minute ab workout. I dont think I have ever worked my abs that hard. I super struggled on that one. My abs are going to be hurting tomorrow! However, the ab workout definitely didnt keep my HR up. In fact, after about 10 minutes, my HR lowered to about 115 and never elevated again. It's definitely not cardio intensive, but those ab moves are killer, so I guess it's a fair exchange. Overall though, I am still super impressed with these 10 Minute Solution dvds - my only regret is not finding them sooner :)
I struggled trying to get to sleep last night, so I am going to head up to bed soon, finish up my bookclub book, and hopefully get some decent sleep tonight. I had intended on baking cupcakes tonight, but I think sleep is more important for now.
