Hi everyone. I saw my Dr. today and he said I have actute bronchitis. I also had a chest x-ray as he wants to make sure I don't have pneumonia. He gave me a prednisone shot, an antibiotic to take for the next 10 days, and more cough syrup with codeine. I am to continue with my breathing treatments 4 times a day as needed.

The waiting room was jammed with coughing people. My doc said he can't believe how many people have bronchitis this year. I couldn't get in to see him last week...he had nothing open. My DH has an appointment on the 13th to see him. Hope he can help him with some medicine too. So I guess I won't be going anywhere soon. I'm just chillin' and enjoying getting my cards done and things like that. I do have to do laundry tomorrow though. But. that's all I'll do besides our dishes, of course. I called and have all the gift baskets ordered for my family members and they are going to be delivered Dec. 19. I can't believe how organized I am this year. But as a friend said, " You have no choice as you are staying home! " How true that is, sadly. I'd rather be out and involved. Oh well...

Thanks to all who commented on my blog and on Max's latest picture under the tree. I appreciate it, as does Max.

Elayne and Max

I read in one of the Spark People Health articles that the flue season has hit early. So take care, keep warm and get well.

Yeah, tell me about the unpleasantness of staying at home (for whatever reason)!

It's already being reported that the flu season is anticipated to be a rough be on your guard, and hang in there!

Thank goodness you finally got in to see your doctor, Elayne. Sorry to hear you have bronchitis - though it did seem that whatever you had was persistent and needed treatment, so I am glad you finally have something to take for it. I hope he can help Arjay as well. I know the feeling of being cooped up, as I have been most of the's great that you have everything pretty much sorted out, and hopefully by the time Christmas is here you and Arjay will both be well enough to get out and about again. Take care and enjoy your card writing!

Hugs to you and Arjay, and a big meow to Max!

Bronchitis seems to be all over the place. In Oshawa, Ontario, there are a great number of people with it as well. My daughter has been battleing it for the last 2 months. Praying that you will get better soon. Just make sure you get plenty of rest. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Glad you finally got to see the Dr. They are saying the flu is coming early and hitting hard. Telling people to stay home at least a week. That will allow the body to heal. Take care and don't push too hard.
