Recovery Not Going Good

Tuesday, December 04, 2012

Well, its me again.

My recovery has hit a down hill because I cant straighten my leg yet and it bothers me more now because there is alot of scar tissue arond the new joint in my leg. The Doctor told me that if I dont get it straight before the 12 of this month then he will have to straighten it himself. I will be put back under for the proceedure which is great for me. I just hope he does it after Christmas because I am doing Christmas dinner this year. I hate walking with a limp now but it cant be helped I guess. The good thing is that I am classified as disabled now because of the new joint in my leg.

I have gotten some great news today and that is the gym i use to belong to is giving me a 3 day free pass so I can go in and try and strengthen the muscles around my knee. I go in this Thursday and I cant wait because it has been over a year since I was last there.

I am back in to my fitness routine again and i have started to go for short walks as well. I am happy that i can finally workout again as long as i can handle the pain. I am doing core exercises as well as chair exercises. I have even been using my exercise balls and weights alot. Tomorrow i plan to get in 380 minutes of exercises because i want to keep the 29.1 lbs that i have lost off for good.

WISH ME LUCK EVERYONE because I need alot of inspiration and motivation to keep going so I wont slack off again

I have sympathy for you. I'm going on Jan 2 for my third hip replacement on my left hip (plus I had my right hip done once). I know that straightening a knee replacement is difficult and painful. You can do it though....I have faith in you. All you need is a little "Want to" and a lot of will power. Be a fighter.

take faith and have courage. You can do it!!! emoticon
