The drizzle & mild temperatures sure makes me wonder if winter is really coming. Then I hear xmas songs on the radio & realize I'm not in a bad dream. Never thought I'd be wishing for snow.
I spent last weekend making some sweet treats for over the holidays. I didn't do this as an exercise in willpower, just a few recipes to offer some of my potential guests to help them get through my healthy cooking meals. (Not that my food is a struggle, just not the standard for junk food eating, LOL)
I must say, a few licks of a few spoons, as well as a sluggish gut (resulting from those choices) had my WI this am. at 125.6 (up 3.4 lbs.)
My aquafit classes are now back...oh pool I missed you so...it was great to feel the warmth on my knees...although the rain aches last night did remind me of my aged joints.
I will spend the rest of this afternoon converting my treat recipes to spark versions & see the calorie damage involved in each choice.!!
Can we say guilty pleasure!!
An afterthought, one of my Boxing Day goals will be to buy a new bathing suit. That should help keep my holiday eating in perspective!
