Due to a huge communication snafu, we were still uncertain Monday night whether we would have kickboxing. We didnít. But I did get to talk in depth with the manager in charge of hiring a teacher for us. Again. It was helpful though because we got to talk more about the kinds of boot camp type activities that we liked that transformed this class from a traditional choreographed cardio kickboxing class to a class that challenged even the fittest in the class but still accommodated those of us who needed to modify the moves. I wasnít the only one confused about whether we were having class either, since I counted at least 6 who actually stuck their head in to ask and a number more who just looked in through the window before deciding to hit the cardio machines.
As we were finishing up our conversation, three people came back into the class to ask if they could use the room and equipment to run a class on their own. They asked me to join them and I did. It was one tough work-out! We did some step aerobics for a while which pushed me almost to my limit. I donít know what it is, but stepping up on that step (which I had on the lowest level) took a lot out of me! We then did some kickboxing and some circuit training. I wasnít able to stay for the last 5 minutes of ab work because I had to go pick up my son from taekwando.
Weíre planning to meet again next week for a DIY Kickboxing Boot Camp.
