This last trip we took was a little tough on our daily eating habits but overall we did OK. When we are in the car we always bring fruit and this time we brought bananas, apples and tangerines.
Two and a half days of our trip included a visit to my brother's new home in Wilmington, NC and have I told you they LOVE to cook! We were greeted with stuffed shells and chicken parmesan the first night - delicious and so hard to control portion size but we did reasonably well. The next night we had filets on the grill (yummy and perfect size) stuffed baked potatoes and baked butternut squash. I offered to make a salad (hint, hint) but they decided we didn't need one. I was so hoping to fill up on salad and skip the potato but he filled the plates before bringing them to the table.
We are so glad to be home and get back to our normal eating habits!
