I'm doing it.

Tuesday, December 04, 2012

I am back into a more consistent, and workable routine. Now that it gets dark so early, it is easier because I'm not outside with the kids so long. It was 71 degrees yesterday so of course I took them outside for some fresh air before going inside and working out. But starting last week, I began doing my Biggest Loser again on the Wii. I love this game, but this summer I just got so burnt out because I tried to do so much and I was sore all the time. I overtrained big time so I got burned out.

In any event, I have 4 programs saved on it that I feel are doable 4 x a week. I think that is a reasonable goal for strength training. I have been doing my zumba 5 x a week. I've finally found a balance that works for me. I do take 2 days off during the week. Sunday and Wednesday. I feel that it is working for me because I'm not as sore now. taking those days off is giving my body a chance to heal back up and get into shape. I've already noticed a difference in the way my clothes are fitting. I am paying more attention to how much and what I'm eating. And I'm watching the kids and what they are eating as well. They think it is fun now when I exercise. They come in and will do it with me sometimes. or just to spend time with me, they sit on the bed and watch me. Either way, we are spending time together.

I have lost 3lbs since last week. I'm excited about that. So, my plan is working. I don't expect to lose a huge amount of weight right away obviously, but my goal is to lose about 15 lbs in the next couple of months. Hopefully by the end of February. I would be happy with that. Then I will relook at my program and tweek it to fit where I"m at at the time.
