Not what I expected

Tuesday, December 04, 2012

Today's Sparkcoach video had us visualize the future 10 years from now. While it did not help my swimming program (I emailed my coach and said I would not be there), it did give perspective. My daughter has a minor surgery today, but I want to be here if she is scared, concerned, or just simply to be there. See, I realized that in 10 years, she is no longer going to be living with us, but out on her own, constructing her adult life. I'm grateful to spark people for bringing that into focus. I can use my home equipment to work out today. This feels healthier.

I am finding I enjoy exercising at home also. Children grow up so very fast and before you know it you will wonder where all the time went.

In life there is always choices to make and we need to look beyond and follow what is right for us. I like to exercise at home for I can dress comfortable and sweat to my hearts content......

We sometimes forget that even minor events in children's lives are bigger to them because it is first time they have encountered it or simply that their perspective is different. Taking a second to consider the whole picture showed you where to spend your time today. Good for you.

I see myself in ten years about 65 pounds lighter and off all medications. My kids will be working professional jobs and supporting themselves. Life will be good. Thanks for the blog and have a good day.
