Avoid emotional eating, and really enjoy the holidays!

Monday, December 03, 2012

I only have time for a short entry. The topic is how to stay on track during the holidays. I recently wrote a list of goals to stay on track. A week later, I can see that some are easy to do and some much harder.

I am an emotional eater, and keep thinking that food will make things better. So I commit to finding other ways to deal with my emotions rather than food. There are many resources here on SP, as well as ones I know.

By logging your food you will know what you ate and how much. It also makes you accountable. WHen you feel yourself wanting to go for the food, go for a walk if weather permits. Good luck!!!

Making short entries is like committing to 10 minutes of exercise -- it makes it easier to do it and sometimes you may have the time or inclination to go further!

Great goal! You can do this. Even if it's a short blog, it's good to check in to stay accountable. My goal for December is 31 workouts--a streak. I had a great streak going then stopped. I'm making December an active month. We can do this! emoticon emoticon
