This evening I still had half a pound of ground beef and a head of cabbage, so I found a "Cabbage and beef stir fry" recipe here on SP and modified it.
To be honest, I really never thought of a head of regular cabbage as a stir fry veggie, but it's great because it cooks up fast. I wonder what it would look like with red cabbage?

It turned out to be quite tasty. My family (who don't eat spicy foods) thought it was perfect, and I thought it was a little bland; I like my food a bit more adventuresome than they do. However, the combination of meat and veggies is a really versatile base for experimentation with various kinds of stir fry sauces. Planning to try this with teriyaki or peanut sauce.
