Here is my plan for HOP (hold off pounds) through the holidays.
First, we are having a challenge at work. On November 12, everyone who wanted to participate paid $5 and weighed in. Their weight was recorded. On January 7, we will weigh in again. Anyone who is no more than 1 pound over their initial weight will share in the $$ pool. So, I have a incentive to not gain weight over the holidays.
Second, I have set a personal goal to get to onederland by the end of the year. I want to say goodbye to the 200's in 2012 and never ever see them again. As of my weigh in last week, I have 6 pounds to go. I think I can do it if I stay focused.
Exercise and water will need to be the keys to my success. I know I am going to eat things that are only around at the holidays. I know there will be potlucks and dinners out, and holiday meals. I need to plan for those occasions, drink all of my water, and make sure I keep up on my exercise. I have a 12- week streak going with exercise that I need to continue through the holidays. I also need to track my meals as much as possible so that I know where I stand.
I am going to continue to weigh in on Wednesdays. I also have at least one friend from the Scarlets who will help keep me accountable through the holidays. We will try to set some challenges for ourselves and support each other.
