I started Sparkpeople in April of 2012 and I started strong! I was tracking everything daily, watching everything I did, I even worked out for more than 90 minutes a day or so! I lost 62 pounds from April to July! I was so proud of myself, I still am! But, August came, and with it was ending college and graduating as a Paramedic. I had a lot to get done so I could find a job. So with ending college, the focus of me working out went down the drain. I became focused on graduating, passing tests(finals and Nationals), and after passing them the first time(Which was exciting!), I found a job. I started working in September and with that, came eating out at restaurants for quick lunches...I gained weight(went from 288 to 310). This was a depressing moment for me when I realized how easy I had given up and how quick my focus had changed! In November, I made the commitment to get back on track! I have been tracking my food and I have been exercising everyday! I pack my own lunches for work, which includes a lot of fruits and veggies(5-7 servings) with Oscar Meyer 98% Fat Free Meats(ham and turkey) for sandwiches. I am so glad that I have found my commitment again and am active in all aspects! I have lost some of the weight I had gained; went from 310 to 302! Wednesday, December 5th, is my weigh in; I always weigh in on Wednesdays!
