Real Quick!!

Monday, December 03, 2012

I know I know I've been gone FOREVER!!

Well, here's a quick recap of why.

I began intense studies in school.

Tom got promoted

An out of town guest arrived

Tom lost all feeling in legs and fell on his face

ambulance called on my youngest birthday

Got him home and situated

Got out of town guest and daughter back to San Francisco

Got a text the following Monday that daughter was in ambulance with possible broken hip.

Her boss got her home and situated.

Went to Algeblah and bombed that test, cried in car.

Completed a couple of online finals

Decorated a tree and outside lights

Got the youngest a new dog for her birthday.

Ms. Mo made Honors Band and was invited to play at my college, that was fun!

She is receiving college letters for her grades (she is a sophomore)

Cheer is going to Vegas and I need to book those tickets/room. Hubby doesn't wanna go so it's going to be fun now. HAHAHA

and hubby is on way to ER as we speak.

sooooooooo

I missed out on the whole juicing project. Never even made it....I think I did most of day one but I couldn't get past the beets.

Got on the scale and we will work on that come December...AFTER the finals.

Trying to schedule hubbys surgery date...why? broken back for seven years (no lie...the doctors kept missing it..andI guess he kept rebreaking it as its never healed, which is why he's on his way there now)He's havings some reactions... That and they wouldn't touch him unless he quit smoking. Yup. I am a non smoker and have to wonder how Doctors can play God with the whole "if you don't quit, I won't touch your" attitude. So, he's been suffering with a broken back and a limp for nearly a decade because of a legal habit.

He quit and got the blood draw....so there's a date for end of January

cept he started up again, hope they don't do another blood draw.

My dining room flooded with the California rain....I scolded the dogs for it. whoops.

emoticon

I think that's it. That's all. I know, pretty lame excuses, but I will get back on here. Sorry so sporadic and simple, but sometimes I just like to pop on over and say

"hey, wazzup"

emoticon

OOOOOOOOOOHHH know what time it is? Eggnog latte and "Do they know it's Christmastime at allllllllll" time..

hey, wazzup

wow, that is crazy about the broken broken back that they did not find! Did they not want to do the surgery because when you smoke it is hard to come out of anesthetic (trust me I found this out the hard way when I was 20, I almost didn't wake up).

Sounds like you have been crazy busy. What kind of doggie did you get?

I hope things calm down for you a little after the finals. Oh wait, then you get hubby with surgery. Things sound like it will be insane for a while.

Just remember to take care of you!

Hey, those are all valid excuses girl! That's so ridiculous that they won't treat your husband unless he quit smoking. I'm glad he's finally getting the treatment he needs! It could be that they were afraid to put him under if his body was in bad shape from the smoking. I know it makes it more dicey/risky. So, he should probably really quit, not just pretend to quit for the blood draw and not tell them he restarted. He could be putting is life in danger. You want them to have ALL the info so they can adjust/account/watch for issues that could spring up. When I met with my anestisialogist he asked my weight and said "tell me your TRUE weight because that's what I'll use to figure how much anestisia you will need.". lol. Didn't want that getting messed up! ha.

Anyway, sorry about your algebra test. I always struggled with algebra also. I think 'getting' it depends on having a really good teacher that can explain it so you understand. My son had a great teacher and didn't struggle with it even though he is not great at math in general. So, hugs. But, don't kick yourself to much. About anything. For quick healthy meals it's handy to have frozen veggie blends in the freezer and bottled stir-fry sauces or some other sauce on hand. Cutting up chicken breast and freezing in individual baggies is helpful also. You can have dinner on the table really quickly that way. I need to take my own advice. I have all that stuff but we ordered burgers and fries last night anyway. :-(

I do hope all this stuff gets straightened out and that you have a great holiday! Hugs and sorry this all seems to have hit at once. That's generally how things work, i've noticed. lol. Hang in there!

Oh my goodness! I came over to check out how you were doing, so glad I did! Hope, I think this is a good time to just do your best at taking care of yourself and your existing responsibilities - a new effort on the level of juicing is crazy for now. I believe in you and you are amazing, exactly as you are right now. So just do the best you can to support yourself (and stay out of whirlpool head, where the same thoughts chase each other down underwater).

    I'm here for you sweetie!

    Your pal,

One of my daughter's first graders (she's an afterschool teacher) hit his head. She scooped him up and went running to the nurses office. Only something "sharp and metal" bit her and she went down for the count. So much so she couldn't move and they thought she broke her hip. They still don't know what she hit. But ended up with a bruise and slow mobility for awhile...

H O L Y C O W! Don't bother with that juicer project unless they are spiked, my friend! You just focus on keeping your sanity, then regroup after finals!

Hang in there - you're amazing! Get the woman a red cape!

Um, geez Cori! That's a lot to lay on a person at one time! Not to mention what it must be like to be "that" person. I hope you are holding up OK!
So you told us what's up with hubby. But what about daughter, and the possible broken hip? I assume it's not broken, but what's up, what happened?

hang in there! and know that we are all here for you!!

Super busy bee! I'm glad your hubby is finally getting the care he needs. I've never heard of the doctors playing the "quit smoking or I won't treat you card", maybe time to find a new doctor? Especially since so many of them are hypocrites with smoking habits of their own. Is your daughter OK? A broken hip?! Wow, I hope your December goes better!
