Weigh Day Week Eighty-Six

My stress level is through the roof right now, but I wanted to make sure I wrote this blog before things get too crazy around here. I wrote a really awesome, uplifting blog yesterday evening but our internet died on us so of course as soon as I clicked ďsubmitĒ it was gone. Frustrating! Iíll do my best to remember what I wroteÖ

So it looks like I may have hit a plateau. I canít get past the 194-192 range no matter how strict I am with my calories. BRITT831 suggested getting in more cardio since I havenít been able to work out as much as I used to because of rehearsals. My food intake has been really excellent and although I am strict, I havenít been depriving myself. Iím really proud of myself and take pride in how many fruits/veggies Iíve been eating the last few weeks. I feel really good! However, with things going the way theyíre going at home/work and with rehearsals getting out around 10pm or later, my sleep patterns have been really interuppted. Ive also noticed that whenever Iím in a winter show, my weight loss progress stops altogether. It didnít affect me as much last winter because I had such a long way to go, but knowing that Iím only 7lbs away from my goal is more than frustrating. I will not give up though!

15 Minutes of Cardio Daily (at least)
Continue Clean Eating
Ease Up on the Coffee/Iced Tea (Only Source of caffeine will be my occasional dark chocolate)

My grandfather is suddenly ill and my family finds out whatís going on with him today (blockage in heart). Iíll need all of the prayers/good vibes my SparkBuddies can muster. He is my last remaining grandparent and is the patriach of my family. He means the world to everyone, and he is especially dear to me. On top of everything else going on in my life right now, this is something I particulary am worried about. As of Sunday morning, he was complaining about not possibly having enough meat at Christmas dinner so heís still in very good spirits. HA!

The show Iím in is going very well and Iím having a blast. The cast couldnít be more awesome and a few of our matinees are already sold out. Itís something I truly look forward to every evening, not only because itís something I love to do but because the atmosphere is extremely loving and friendly.

I guess the point of all of this is just to say to my true SparkFriends and also to myself is that I will never give up and I am so fired up to reach this goal. To be honest, I havenít been this determined to reach a goal in a few years. The last time I was this determined was when I auditioned for one of my all time favorite musicals, RENT. I knew the role I wanted and NO ONE was going to stand in my way. I battled way into the night for that role, singing and dancing my butt off (I was at my starting weight back then) and in the end was victorious. 7lbs is all that stands in my way, and it better not get comfortable. I want to go back to NJ for Christmas, see my family and let them know what Iíve done. Iíd like to look my grandfather in the eye and tell him, ďPop, I lost 100lbs!Ē Heíll be so proud, heck, he already is.

Prayers to you & your family pertaining to your grandfather! May God give you & your family peace, strength, & comfort during this time! Trust in His Holy Spirit and I release His angels to surround you & your family! In Jesus' Name!

Also, congrats on your weight loss journey! Have you changed your workout as well as your eating habits to break your plateau? Usually our bodies will get use to our routines, which is why plateaus occur! Just my humbled opinion!

Well, keep pushing & keep your head up! Continue to trust God with every aspect of your life!

    MISSB, you have come so far and if it takes a lil bit more time to reach your goal, well, just enjoy what you are doing during that time. You WILL reach your goal! You are awesome and will do it!
