Finding My Way Back - Day Two and Day Three

Monday, December 03, 2012

Wow, where did Sunday go? I was busy all day long and next thing I knew it was time for bed. About 1 am this morning I realized I hadn't done my blog entry. So it's a two for one day emoticon

Sunday Recap:

I kept busy with lots of little projects. I did threw a chicken and a butternut squash in the oven to cook for mid week meals. Made roasted red pepper hummus. Yum! Finished the rest of the laundry, helped my Dad with a couple household issues, exercised, paid bills and cooked dinner. I didn't accomplish anything big - those projects are still waiting for me. But sometimes you just got to start with the small stuff.

1. Do something for someone else. Fixed a nice dinner for Dad and DH.
2. Do something for myself. Drank all of my water. emoticon I've struggled with this a lot lately.
3. Do something I don't want to do that needs doing. Paid bills.
4. Do a physical exercise. 40 minutes on the treadmill.
5. Do a mental exercise. Paid bills. Seems like that's always a mental exercise.
6. Do an original prayer that always includes counting my blessings.
Thankful for the productive day, the beautiful weather that allowed me to open up the windows and doors to let fresh air in. For my Dad. Even though it is emotionally, physically and mentally taxing at times to be the primary caregiver he still has a sharp wit and makes me laugh ~ even on the days when he's really cranky. For a peaceful night of sleep that allowed me to get rid of my migraine.

Monday's Recap: End of day. Dinner done, dishes done, time to catchup on a few things.
One of my bosses was back today after being gone for 14 days. So had a stack of paperwork for him to sign ~ and he just LOVES paperwork (not).

1. Do something for someone else. Helped co-worker with computer issues.
2. Do something for myself. Remembered to breathe in, breathe out when dealing with co-worker computer issues.
3. Do something I don't want to do that needs doing. Got up at 4:15 to exercise
4. Do a physical exercise. 35 minutes on the treadmill.
5. Do a mental exercise. LOL, work in general.
6. Do an original prayer that always includes counting my blessings.
Grateful for my wonderful husband, who on his only day off this week went over to repair the leaking faucet unit in my Dad's kitchen sink.

All and all a good day. Glad to be home.

Onward to sprucing up my page for Christmas.

Have a great evening.
