Happy weekend :)

Everything is coming up me.
I had a really normal, and so very enjoyable, weekend.
Shall I tell you about it? SURE, why not!! :)

Friday night I took Lee on a date. I had a groupon to a Guatemalan restaurant, so we went there. Afterward we went to a bar and played a round of Photo Hunt, and then sat and talked. It was so nice, to just talk to him. I could not have cared less who the other people in the bar were.
I did notice I got a number of "looks" from fellers. LOL, now? Really? Too late! And, I've already got a gem. :)

After that we went to a place downtown where a free music show was happening. We had invited some friends, and were happy to see pretty much everyone came. Surprisingly, my uncle John was there with a couple of friends as well. I introduced him to my friends, as well as Lee. So, the secret is out to my family at this point I guess! :)

Saturday we went out to breakfast, and then we went to look at a bike I had seen on craigslist. It was nice, but too expensive, and most importantly, on the test ride I realized :
I have never ridden a road bike before! It felt so uncomfortable and nerve wracking to be in that position. Made me feel anxious. That is definitely not the feeling I need to have in order to buy a bike. I don't blame THAT bike, but it showed me I need to get a lot more comfortable on a road bike before considering buying one.

My friend is going to let me borrow hers and we are going to all go on a nice little ride along the river, so that sounds ideal to get me feeling comfortable.

So, I didn't end up buying that bike, but it was very valuable, and having Lee go with me was SO nice. He was great to talk it out with, and he really helped me to evaluate the bike. It's really nice to have a level headed, kind person who wants to do things with me, especially when they are of special challenge to me.

The rest of the day we lounged around, and went to get some groceries to make spaghetti that night.
Get this: his ex had gone to culinary school. ACK. So, she cooked him amazing food all the time. So, yea, that's not intimidating, at allll. LOL

No, the truth is, she never showed him anything in the kitchen. I guess she was like, no you are doing that wrong, just let me. Personally, one of my very most favorite things to do is cook with another person. Lee wants to learn how to do things, though he wasn't TERRIBLY enthusiastic about actually doing it. It's okay, I'm enthusiastic enough for the both of us, haha!

We went to bike art auction preview night, which was really nice, and then back home to make the foods. We put veggies and ground beef in the sauce, and cheddar cheese on top (apparently this is a genius idea he's never heard of haha), and it was really yummy. :)

Sunday we cooked eggs with the left over veggies and cheese, parted ways, with plans to meet up for dinner. :)

I spend time with a friend of mine having coffee and talking. We walked down to BICAS, a community Bike co-op, where another friend of ours was. On the way there we stopped to look at dressed on sale. My friend insisted I try one on that was not the kind I tend to like, strapless and almost poofy. I tried it on and realized it was adorable on me but could not be zipped up. I asked the clerk if there were more, and she said no, that was the last one. THEN, a few minutes later, she found a large! YESSSSS! It zipped up and I bought it for $18. I never would have tried on myself. I usually hate strapless, but this one works and I don't think I'll need a bra for it.

At BICAS I talked to my other friend, and he and I are going to work on building a bike over the winter break. I'm going to ride it for a week, and if it doesn't suit me he's going to make it into a glow in the dark bike.
This pleases me greatly because I'll have no pressure to keep the bike. And, I'll get to learn a lot in the process. YAY!

Later that afternoon I went to the grocery store and stocked up on a ton of meat and veggies, and made chicken fajita quesedillas for Lee and me. I know I'll never be a chef caliber cook, but he really loved it and I think he's really getting into the whole cooking together thing.

Also, I told him about the dress I bought and he said, well, we'll just have to go on a date Friday, won't we?

Why, yes, Lee, we will.
