There are times like the other evening where I suddenly feel terribly overwhelmed and like things are "too much" for me, and then the Lord comes in and gives me a warm embrace to help me get up and go on.
Yesterday turned out to be a peaceful day. I went out with my furbaby Missy, had a nice drive - even though it was an odd kind of cloudy day - and we stopped at a couple of parks to walk. It used to be that all I'd have to say to Missy is "Wanna go for a walkie?" and she'd go nuts! Now however, it seems the "sniffies" (sniffing everything in sight) are of more interest to her than the actual act of walking. So now it's "Wanna go for walkies and sniffies?" She still gets excited but in a little more subdued way. But she definitely enjoys our time out!
It was nice and relaxing... some folks around here have started putting their Christmas lights up and decorations and trees... and it's lovely so by late afternoon all the lights were brilliantly illuminating the cloudiness. Christmas has always seemed like a magical time to me, ever since I was a kid. The lights are always such a celebration! It was beautiful. I'll have to get pictures next time.
I didn't get to bed as early as I would've liked last night but still it was far earlier than recent nights... I did sleep through and actually slept late today - unusual for me. So now I'm getting organized and playing a little catchup to get some things done. but I'm still feeling peaceful.
I receive several Christian devotionals in email - 2 of them by Joseph Prince, who has been so helpful to me. A few I read this morning really touched me and I googled the titles to see if I could find them online, and I actually did - which means I can also share them with friends who may be interested. It's in Joseph Prince's "Meditate for Success" blog... here's the link:
God's Heart of Mercy is on topic for today Dec. 3rd but you can also read the others he's posted; they are all wonderful and very encouraging.
Wishing everyone a wonderful and peaceful day! God bless! Hugs.
