1/2 Marathon training -- Day 2

Today I did my first long run--8 miles. It was a really long run compared to what I've been doing, but it was fun. (I can't believe I just said running 8-miles was fun.) I was supposed to run it on Friday, but the way the week is playing out, I knew I'd have time to do it today so I thought I better get it done. Tomorrow I'm taking a running rest day. Wednesday and Thursday will be shorter runs 3-4 miles. Friday through Sunday the girls are home with me so no running, but workouts at the playground with my 2-year old are just as enjoyable! :)

    I can't wait until I am able to run a 5k much less 8 miles! Good on you and I'm glad you are having fun running and training for the half marathon. And workouts with a 2-year old can be serious business. They should incorporate them into athletic training - everyone would be so much healthier and active. emoticon
