C25K Week 2
Monday, December 03, 2012
Today I started my week 2 of my C25K program. Now this isn't the program from here on Spark. In fact it is very similar to that of coolrunnings.com beginning 5k jogging/running program.
Week one consisted of 3 days of a 5 minutes warm up walk followed by 1 minute of running, and 1:30 recovery walking period for 20 minutes (a total workout including the warmup of 25 minutes). Week two has the 5 minute warm up but has increased the time of running to 1:30 and the walking recovery time to 2:00 minutes. I am proud to report I stopped only once durning the last interval for like 5 or 10 seconds, then finished the 1:30. It was a really nice cool day, with the warm sun, and few clouds in the sky. It was very breezy though, and I felt I was constantly running against the wind going both directions. So far I don't need to add my distance, and I shutter to think how I will add more feet/meters without my markers. Oh well, I can always go farther on the trail, but the markers are further apart than were I run at.
So after running, I went and got gas, then cleaned my car. Something I have been putting off for days, or weeks, or months. It was bad, especially since I park under a tree (with acorns, which are everywhere). I wish I could say my car is perfect, but it isn't. I just did it myself at a carwash stall. I also parked it in my mom's spot so I can clean the inside (which is dusty, not cluttered), and thus making it more of an incentive to do so, as well as to go to the store and pick up some forgotten items. Oh well.
So after cleaning the car, and then going to the store, I will probably work on my application and make a doctors appointment to get tested to see if I have had chickenpox. Yes, I have no idea if I have had it. The only thing I hate about this medical lab program is all the vaccines you have to get. I am not a fan of vaccines. I distrust them greatly, but that's just me. Plus many people actually get the chickenpoxes from the vaccine, and knowing my luck I will too. Which sucks because it's really bad for someone my age.
I attempted the drawing last night, and it didn't go well. I haven't drew anything in so long, so I am changing my goal to practice drawing for 15 minutes a day. So then I don't get frustrated, and hopefully gather enough skills to make my daily comic/manga in January.
So that's it for today. My dad did have a meeting with a recruiter, but it was cancelled, so I still have to deal with him today. Grr.
Off to clean the car! Have a great Monday, and an excellent start to not only the week, but the month of December as well. Keep up the Spark!
