Blue Monday

Monday, December 03, 2012

Every Monday, instead of waking up feeling excited about the new week, I have been feeling down and defeated. I am pep talking to myself to start all over again. I ate way too much of the "wrong" stuff again this weekend. This morning I feel logy and bloated. I was hoping to be in "onederland" before Christmas. Well. that sure won't be happening. Oh, well, enough complaining. As the old song says - gotta pick myself up, dust myself off, and start all over again.

Weekends are hardest for me too. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense any more because I'm retired now and don't have the 'celebration of weekend' excuse but somehow I still do it ... more often than I care to admit.

But I agree with WILLOW49 - the important thing is to never give up. I made goal (still a work in progress, however) and if I can do it, you can. I wish I had saved a couple of 'before' pictures. My reward for reaching my target and staying within a couple pounds on either side (for a year) was to destroy them all. It felt wonderful at the time; now I kind of wish I had stashed a couple away in a safety deposit box somewhere.

    You can do this!!!

Here's the cure ~ workouts. If you do daily workouts I guarantee you will never feel down or defeated any more. Exercise elevates mood right out of the stratosphere and I'm living proof. Do it and you'll be a believer too. Just start over today and make a few changes to give yourself the gift of good heath and a positive outlook on life. emoticon emoticon emoticon

You are not defined by how many times you fall but how many times you get up. Can't remember who said it, not mine. Get up, you can do it
