Looking forward to healthy eating this week

Okay so yesterday we all went out to a new place for pizza and beers. Yeah that they had my favorite beer, Negro Modelo. But the service was very slow and the pizza was really bad. I only ate one small piece of the pizza as I decided I didn't want to waist my calories on something I didn't like. In the past I would have eaten the whole thing anyway. So I am happy to report I held back! But then our friends wanting to continue the party so we went down the street where they have really good chicken wings so I had them with french fries. So got my junk food fix. I hate to say it but I really would have preferred to eat at home but the social aspect I am sure is good. I know I am a bit of a snob when it comes to what I like and don't like but that is life. I was up a half pound today which could catch up to me even more tomorrow with the salt intake. Anyway so happy to be able to eat at home today and hopefully most of the week.

    It is neat the way we change when we get into healthy eating! And I still have a junk food day too.

    I agree with you, I do not want to waste my time on bad food. I will pass it up everytime,. but unfornutitly I can find some really good food. I was in the mood for chicken wings one day last week but never got them. I guess they will stay on my want list until after the holidays

    yeah you don't eat out every day and you get right back on a healthy diet so I wouldn't worry about it

I do tend to order comfort/junk food when I go out.

    Glad you had fun! I am trying to learn to eat very clean and healthy at home and save the splurges for special times. It is a learning process though, and I have a ways to go. I enjoy your blogs!

    I'm with you -- I'd rather eat what I like and want, but sometimes we know we need more social time too. The trick is combining the two :)

    You did great leaving that pizza - if you're going to indulge make it a good one!
Like you, we had a social do last night and the food was good but I manage to pick and choose and then limit myself to very small portions. Here's to a week of healthy meals at home - I have salmon ready to grill for lunch.

    Isn't it great to enjoy and look forward to the healthy eating!!?? I love the way you prepare and earn your splurges in social settings. Very wise to only splurge on the best! When you are eating for fun and not nutrition, it should be absolutely scrumptious or why eat it?? Saving splurges for social occasions. Great way to live!!

pizz place. I love chicken wings too. I went out last
night and ordered the grilled fish and salad but it
had chips as well and I ate them all. Like you, I am
eating healthily this week. emoticon emoticon
