I have Pneumonia!

Monday, December 03, 2012

That was a shock! My head started to ache really badly when I coughed, and I started to cough up a little blood yesterday morning in the general bug gunge, and as it was still happening this morning I went to the doc. She listened to my chest and could hear crackling noises in my upper right lung, so I am on antibiotics and have to go to the hospital for blood tests and a chest x-ray.

I was NOT expecting this, but the doc says the good thing is that I'm still on my feet, so it could be a lot worse! :-)

Unfortunately, when I rang the hospital about my diverticular disease and polyp consultation to see what they thought would be best given the situation, they decided to move my appointment. I was supposed to see them this week, but am now not seeing them until 18th January. *sigh*

Pneumonia trumps Polyps!

Hope your week is shaping up to be better than mine! :-)

Sorry you're dealing with pneumonia - I'd have to agree that that trumps your polyp situation.......pneumonia, sadly, has taken down many a *younger* person (don't ask me how I know this).....

Thank you for sharing your cool quotes and pics (yeah, I'd possibly scream, too, if I saw "kitty" in the tissue box - and then give it a good cuddle)!

Sending the biggest hug that is possible and an offer to do the ironing. Trouble with that is you'd have to send it by a real courier, but the thought and offer is there.
