What a couple of weeks!

Wow- a couple of victories recently. One, I went to zumba and the instructor asked me what my favorite song that she does is-so I told her "On The Floor" because it has fun choreography but she doesn't do it very often and had played it the week before- so it was what popped in my head. She gave me a sort of pouty look and said "it's not on my playlist this time" so, I told her "eh, it's fine- it's fun though. So class started and about 6 songs or so in, that song comes on and she calls my name -saying it's my song and trying to get me to come onstage with her. I am super self-conscious, and Id told her way back in my first class or so- that as long as she never made me go onstage I'd be fine *that was MONTHS ago... anyway-I went up there and felt like it went decent. So, Saturday at belly dance class (which she also teaches) she asked how it was going up there and I said "it wasn't so bad, it was actually kind of fun" SO the next class of hers (Wednesday night) she played it again and motioned for me...so I went up again! This is a big deal for me - even a month ago if you had said I would go up there, I would have laughed and said not a chance!
The other was this morning- I had not gotten on the scale for 2 weeks and had gone down a couple lbs last time- so I decided to wait awhile and then weighed again this morning and I lost 4 lbs in 2 weeks! WOW. That is the biggest drop in that amount of time I've seen since I started this. *maybe it was the going onstage ;)
Honestly, I did drop my calories by about 200 average though- and I think it's working. I'm now only 3 lbs from my major goal of getting below 200. I'm hoping to make that by the end of December- we will see
the only sad thing is that belly dance isn't happening for December- they say they will bring it back though after the new year
