Barely getting in a blog entry today, but I'm doing it. It was a hard day to get in my workouts too - homework that needed to get done by midnight was weighing (ha!) on my mind, so I cut out my run and a gym trip to focus. And I got it done by 8pm! I guess I could have gone to the gym with the hubs anyway, but I'm glad I focused on the most urgent task.
It's funny though, I felt like I was denying myself a treat when i didn't go on a run. That's a good sign. And I did get in 20 min of yoga and a super-abbreviated strength session with the bar in the garage. So I'm still ahead on calories.
I also cooked some stuff for the week. I haven't eaten either thing, so I can't tell you much about them yet, but I will later in the week. While I was cooking, I realized how lucky I am to have such great tools. Two of my faaaaaaaaaaaavorite things in the kitchen are my scale:(you can also consider these pics previews of what dishes I'm experimenting with)
and the mandolin that lets me cut things like eggplant so very thin:
Edit to add: I just took the cooked food out of the pan in the scale picture. It's a nonstick Calphalon bread pan that cost too much money and was thus a gift. AND IT'S NOW MY FAVORITE THING! (Spoiler:) My meatloaf just slid out of the pan with no extra oils or anything. Oh wondrous day! Oh joyous night!
