Week in review

I lost 3 lbs. this week (first week back always shows a bigger loss) which I'm pleased about. I'm trying not to focus on all the pounds I still have to lose, but am taking it one week at a time. I did get more exercise this week, although the weekend wasn't as good as I'd hoped. I wasn't feeling that great on Sat. and didn't end up getting a workout in. I guess I needed the rest.
I got several gifts bought today and also got a start on my Christmas cards.
For those of you that read my blog from Friday, I'm having somewhat of a struggle accepting that someone would do such a nice thing for me. It makes me think of the staff I work with and all the hours they put in, just like I do. I am lucky to work with people who truly care about their students and they all deserve to get a pat on the back. I guess I have to take my principals advice and just be thankful. She told me this situation is out of my control so I just have to accept it. emoticon She just started at our school this fall and she's already figured out that when it comes to my classroom I like to be in control. Is it that obvious?! Luckily, my husband says I'm not that way at home. emoticon
I'm hoping to increase my exercise a little more this week. I'm slowly getting back into it. It isn't easy when you haven't been consistent in a long while.

    A 3lb weight loss-what a great start! Make sure not to overdo the exercise. I tend to forget that after taking a break from continuous workouts, you can't just jump in and start where you left off. Just take it easy and do what you're comfortable with. And thanks for the reminder-I've GOT to get to those Christmas cards! Have a great week! =D
