Sunday Check in #21 What's it matter?

Sunday, December 02, 2012

What does it matter?
I KNOW I am going to gain weight, it is the HOLDAYS, there is just no way around it.
What does it matter?
I havent lost any weight in months.
What does it matter?
I will get plenty of excercise running around, shopping and doing errands and getting everything perfect for everyone else.
What does it matter?
It is DECEMBER. I will just restart in January.

You have alot going on. You are flying the cape, shopping, wrapping, baking, cooking, giving, helping. You are not taking care of you this month because there is just so little time. So you get less sleep, less excercise, your nutrition slips, hell- you probably figure you dont even need to track your food because you are eating cookies as you run out the door. You dont have TIME for a sandwich or a salad. NOBODY else can buy the stuff, bake the stuff, wrap the stuff, cook the stuff. IT is all on you!

Listen, kids. That is the OLD DECEMBER.

THIS December, it MATTERS!

You are not the same person as last year. I dont care if you started today or 4 years ago. THIS month, this crazy, busy month, is going to be different.

YOU WILL MAKE IT MATTER!

You are not gonna give up now.
You are gonna keep tracking
You are gonna plan your meals
You are gonna plan your excercise time.
You are gonna be flexible and fit stuff in as you can
You are gonna be kind to yourself
You are gonna be selfish about YOUR needs.
You are gonna succeed this month
You are NOT gonna gain weight and feel crappy about it come January.
JANUARY is not going to be a new start. It is going to be a continuation of what you began in DECEMBER.

It ALL MATTERS! Every meal, walk, strength training. Every cookie, cake pop and peice of candy.

But what matters the most is your friends, family, and please, don't forget, YOU.
YOU matter to ME and I want you to remember that, among the hustle and bustle of the holiday. Please be good to yourself for me. And for you. Because you matter.
