I've been doing really poorly at this until recently, I must confess. I much prefer to just drink coffee and diet cokes all day, because I've needed the extra caffeine to keep me going this past year. But I'm trying to lose the weight, and I know that water is a big part of the picture, so here is what I'm doing.
I start the day with an empty orange juice bottle like this:
These bottles hold 60 oz, which is pretty close to the 64 we're all supposed to be drinking per day. Then I fill it with water, add a few squirts of MIO for flavor and I drink on it all day. Since the weather has turned colder, this wasn't working for me (I was too cold to want to drink ice cold water), so I started heating up my MIO water for a minute in the microwave...which makes it a little like a warm cup of tea...not too hot, because that makes it harder to chug...just warm enough so that it's comforting and enjoyable.
Weird..probably. But it's working. I'm definitely drinking more water...and I'm slowly dropping the pounds. Down 8 today, woo hoo!
