NaNoWriMo 2012 is OVER. Thank goodness.
It was a tumultuous month; I had some minor crises at home, was dealing with an anxious, depressed husband and a busier-than-usual November, and even lost my motivation for writing halfway through the month.
But, I pulled a random victory out of my butt, and wrote 50,038 words in 30 days (and 16,000 of that in the last 4 days of the event.)
This graph makes me smile. ;) You can actually SEE my state of mind, in graph form.
The good news is that I ended by adding 50,000 words to an existing novel, which brought me up to a total of 115,960 for that novel. I immediately hacked some stuff out of it, though, dropping the total to 106,000.
Still, I have a lot of writing to go, so I'm going to keep at it! I want to add at least 20-40k more and finish up the story before I try and edit the stupid thing. And yes, I do intend to get it published one day.
Afte listening to my SparkCoach lesson about positive people, I decided to reach out on Facebook to my friends for support... and I think I may be starting a group for my friends who want to be healthy. I already had three replies within three minutes of posting, so I think there might be a need for this.
I've missed you guys SO much.
