Last week, I outlined my weekly plan, and then promptly fell to a migraine and a busy week from Hades. My work out partner retired, and I spent the week feeling sorry for myself. Yesterday started a new month, today starts a new week, and I have a new mindset. I've looked over last week obstacles, and I have a more specific plan, with some tweaks to address the obstacles.
First- my eating plan. My wrestling son, has decided that he needs to lose 2 pounds this week for a wrestling goal. To accomplish this, I have asked him to follow my eating plan, and I am planning a low carb week for the family. Today, we are going to the Mongolian grill for a family celebration. My one carb for the day will be a serving of noodles. Tomorrow, Breakfast is eggs and cheese. I am making spaghetti sauce in the crockpot, and will serve it with spaghetti squash. Lunch is on the road, so I am packing a sandwich or finger food I can eat in the car. I will need to pack my snacks, so apples, cheese and nuts for the week. Tuesday, breakfast is eggs and cheese, it's a Mexican potluck at work, where I will eat bean tostado. Dinner is soy tack meat, and those of us watching carbs can eat a Mexican salad. Wednesday, it's eggs and cheese for breakfast, and a salad for lunch. Dinner is most likely at the church, but if not, if I skip it and work late, I am planning a frozen diet meal (to tired to cook). Thursday, is my day off, and I can have a special breakfast of grapefruit and soft boiled eggs. Lunch is a salad. Dinner is flank steak. potato and broccoli. Friday, It's a day on the road for work, so it's eggs and cheese wrap from starbucks, a salad from the breadline cafe for lunch, and dinner at my friends house. Having Jake participate in my eating plan will help me feel less lonely in my plan.
Work out plan- I have asked my sun if he will treadmill with me in the morning. he has declined. So I am going to plan for solo. He did commit to after dinner treadmilling on tuesday and thursday. I will do the yoga class from 6:30 to 7:3, while jake runs. Monday, I can treadmill and then get ready for work at home, as I don't have to leave for work till 7:30. tuesday, I can treadmill, and then get to work by 7. Wednesday, I can treadmill and get ready at home, with work by 7. Thursday, I am going to treadmill from 5-6, pick jake up after practice, and take the yoga class from 6:30 t0 7;30 while Jake runs. Friday, I am out of town for work, so it's a day off from the gym. If the weather permits, and my work day winds up early, I am going to ask my friend if we can walk her very rural hill. I am going to ask my friend to join me for yoga, and my co-workers from work to join me in the morning. It's not like we talk, since she wears earplugs and listens to music but having someone there expecting me helps with accountability.
Daily Spark. My goal for December is to win the spark consistency trophy. I can use my phone to track food on the go, but I need to find time ( an hour a day) to log in and spark. I will just have to kick my children off the computer before bed. I am going to work my way through the mind over body series.
Sleep- For the past weeks, I have been struggling with mania, and sleep has been fleeting. I am trying all sorts of natural sleep aids. I have tea with Valerian, camomile and lavender. I have my hot tub, with lavender and camomile bath soak, with candles and quiet music. I will continue to take my meds, and will talk to my doctor about increasing my levels if the natural sleep aids doesn't kick in. If I have trouble staying asleep, I pledge to not eat, but to clean, read, spark and scrap book.
So the obstacles from last week ( loneliness, out of town, migraine, mania) have been address and I have a plan, with specifics. To reward myself, I am going to buy an immersion blender with the tenth's paycheck.
