Saturday, the end of a 6 day week.

Saturday, December 01, 2012

I managed another ride yesterday, on my bike. About 8.5 miles in 41 mins in my lunch break, so not too shoddy. Then dashed off to my afternoon groom only to find that their grand-daughter had been rushed to hospital so they were there and not at home. Hospitalised grandkids are much more important than a haircut for the dog, obviously.
Came home and moved about 5 wheelbarrows full of wood to the woodshed but stopped as the light was fading and I couldn't see much in the woodshed. Falling over in there is not on my to-do list anytime soon.

Mad busy day today, 6 dogs in one house and then home via Sainsburys for some fruit and veg as we are running short. I had a lovely lean pork mince chilli in the slow cooker so that was gorgeous, really lovely as it had been on since 8am and I got to eat it at just after 3pm. Late lunch but these things happen when you are in business.

Managed to stuff a little over 1200 calories today but don't feel very hungry so had to eat a low fat Muller Rice (208 calories) to bump up the calories. Yesterday, try as I might I couldn't break 1000 which is not good but I felt really rough in the evening and just didn't fancy eating anything except for a couple of yoghurts and they gave me heartburn. Feel much better today so figure that it was one of those things.

We plan to ride our bikes inbetween morning and evening Church tomorrow, the weather forecast looks promising for us to do a quick 45 minutes or so. We don't have overshoes for our bikes so our feet freeze after about 40 minutes so we are doing shortish rides until we can afford overshoes. Even thermal socks only give us the difference between 30 mins and 40 mins riding. Tomorrow the forecast says we might get up to 2 degrees above freezing during the day. Not sure we can handle the heat!! Its about -1 outside now, there will be a hard frost in the morning, I'll be bound.

Bed time now, so I'll say goodnight and God Bless to you all.
