My neighborhood is too hilly for runs OR walks, I've found out. Especially if you're still trying to become a good runner, like I am.
My back is still sore so I knew walking/jogging was about my only option today. So I took a LONG walk. I walk/jogged 2.25 miles yesterday, so I wanted to double the distance. I did, and then some. My route was 5.8 miles. Around the 2 mile marker (my app announces it) I wanted to make my loop smaller and turn around. But I didn't. When I was going east again, back toward my place, I thought about calling my mom around the 4th mile and have her pick me up. But I didn't. I slowed my pace a little, but I didn't stop. I walked the whole thing. 5.8 miles. 553 calories - burned. Booya. I will celebrate by going to Panera for dinner. I will probably get what I got last time - Fuji Apple Salad and a Tuna Salad Sandwich on Wheat.
This used to be a church. Now it's an office building. So cute though right?
Across the street from the church is a convent, that actually is still a convent.
Listened to my girl for 45 minutes of the walk. No cable so I listen to her episodes on my phone or watch them on my iPad.
Now I'm immediately freezing because of my sweaty shirt and my cold apartment. Off to take a shower and figure out what I'm going to eat...
