WooHoo! Took 1st place again in my division: 30-39 yr olds. 25:54 was my time. :) 15 others in my category. I thought one lady who blew by me would be in my category but she was over 40! Yikes she looked good! So, no medals again, but I did get a gold key chain.... So at least there was an awards ceremony and I got something! Couldn't decide whether to use it as a key chain or to attach it to my bronze from last year.... I decided to attach it to last yrs medal.

I have got to remember not to do this race again. I ran this course twice last spring for this race and another and I forgot that the first half of it is on gravel.... I was so worried I was going to trip! Did not like at all!
It felt pretty good with the exception of getting side stitches? Hate that! That hasn't happened to me in a long time.... Plus my Crossfit injury.... not sure if you can see in this pic:
I finally felt confident doing 20 in. box jumps yesterday and I missed once! Came down hard on my shin.... It's very tender and bruised. And this was with wearing pants. So glad I didn't wear shorts. But I realized it's a wound I am proud of because despite getting hurt I kept up with my workout and finished and feel like I conquered my fear of the box jumps, injury and all. I can't wait to do them again! A skill that would once send me into an anxiety attack is now one of my favorites. My boys were funny when I showed them.... Older DS said "So? Mine was bigger!" LOL! And my younger DS goes "Oh, cool!". Love having boys sometimes!
Now I am lookng forward to our group run next Saturday with my Crossfit gang. 10K for me! My trainer talked to me for awhile yesterday about the importance of resting your body.... something I haven't been doing and am feeling the consequences of it. So starting today I am following his advice and am going to rest completely every Wednesday and Sunday. The thing he said that got my attention is that I will plateau if I don't rest.... I do not want that. He did mention doing Yoga on Wednesdays and I think I might pull out my DVD (I think it's a Jillian or Biggest Loser one) and gve it a shot.
I am enjoying my last 2 days before going back to work Monday.... I always love the time off, but getting back into the routine can be a struggle. Hope everybody is having a good weekend!
