BLC Break!!

Saturday, December 01, 2012

It's hard to believe another round of BLC is coming to a close!! The Sapphire team has had a very successful round (the best since I've been on the team) and we are still Sprinting toward the finish with four days left.

BUT, what happens in four days, when the structure of challenges and a team is gone? How do we survive the holidays and undue all of the success that we have had?

Well, I believe the first step is making a plan!! So, here is my plan:

1. I have joined the Sapphire Furlough team. This team will keep me connected to my crew and also keep me active with both daily and weekly challenges. Throughout the six-week break. This should help tremendously

2. I am making a list of upcoming events and holidays that may be a struggle and making a plan now on how to survive these!! I have a few office celebrations coming up and then, of course, there is Christmas and New Year's. I have plans in place for each of these challenges and BELIEVE I can be successful

3. Press On!! Our Sapphire captain uses this phrase a lot. There may be bumps in the road and detours. No one's journey is the same but they all lead to the same place--a happier, healthier you (or me)!! So, I will PRESS ON knowing that the only failure I can have in this journey is giving up!

Do you have your plan in motion for the holiday season?

This will be the first year that I really don't have to worry about over doing it with food since I can't eat any of it because of my food sensitivities. But I do have to be careful with just snacking. I love to eat all the time. So I'm back to preplanning my meals every morning and so far is is going great. I just need to keep it up.
