I am very excited this morning!! My goal is to lose 10 pounds every month, and when I went up a few pounds after Thanksgiving, I was worried that, for the first time since I started, I wouldn't meet that goal.
My weekly weigh-in the Saturday after Thanksgiving still had me up 0.6 pounds from the previous Saturday. But today, I am down 6.2 pounds from last Saturday's weight, for a total of 13.4 pounds lost this month!!
I think I am more proud of this month than any of the others because it means that I survived all of the post-Halloween candy, my son's birthday party, Thanksgiving, and the first week of the Christmas season, and I lost even more than I was shooting for!
For years I have been the person who loses a bit of weight during the year, but October-December I gain back everything I lost and more. But this year, I am down 23.4 pounds from my October 1st weight!
I am down a total of 47.2 pounds, and I now have less than 60.0 pounds until I hit my goal (59.8 to be exact)!! That sounds like a lot, but not when you started with a goal of losing 107 pounds!! Almost halfway there in 17 weeks!
Yesterday I was actually able to put on a pair of 14 jeans... they looked TERRIBLE, but I got them on! And seeing as I started at a 20W, a 14 regular is a pretty exciting prospect! My goal is a size 10, so I am getting there!!
And the best part, I am still super motivated!! Here's to another 10 pounds down in December, which would put me 9 pounds away from Onederland!!
Oh, and one final life but not weight-loss related note... I got a 100% on exam 4 in Anatomy and Physiology yesterday! Only the final is left and I currently have 620/600 points; I only need to get a 50% on the final to get an A in the class, although I am aiming for at least a 90% so I'll get a 100% in the class. :)
