2 slices taco pizza - 460
1 apple - 80
Total Calories - 540
I do this a little differently. Use pillsbury pizza dough instead of crescent rolls. I only used 1/2 can of beans and 1 1/2 cups cheese. Also fresh tomatoes instead of Rotel. There was a time, that I would have felt compelled to recalculate the whole recipe, but I've learned, "don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good."
Also, I didn't do a great job of cutting it into 12 equal slices. There were several that were a lot bigger than these. So if you think that it looks like a small serving for the calories, your probably right. Next time I will probably just cut into 8 pieces and only have one.
What about kid friendly?
It's taco and pizza combined. If your kid doesn't eat it, give him/her away! One of my girls does pick off the tomatoes and olives, but I consider it a success.
What about easy?
Super easy. I blogged a couple days ago about the ground beef that I browned, rinsed and froze. I took a bag of it out of the freezer and heated it up in the microwave. Stirred in a tablespoon of taco mix (I use Chef Meg's version) and it was ready to go! I'm pretty sure this was on the table in something around 20 minutes.
