Wow. We have one month left of this year, and if the Mayans are right, we only have 20 days left to live! Wow! I personally don't believe the world is going to end....when the calendar on my wall runs out, the world doesn't end, I just get a new calendar emoticon

I like to write blogs at the beginning of every month to reflect on the prior month and plan my strategies for the following month.

November Successes:

1: I finally got my head together and started tracking all of my food- Good, bad, and ugly (there were days when it really got ugly). I did wait until the 4th to finally start tracking, but I have been doing this now for 27 days straight and plan on continuing as long as I possibly can (can we say 'life"?).

2: I am finally under 250 pounds again. I had been fluctuating between 268 and 256 since the beginning of the year, except for one time when I got down to 247 back in April.

3: I have made exercising every day a habit. I started jogging again (though on a treadmill. Oregon weather in November is very rainy)

4: I have been working on becoming more aware of when I'm actually hungry vs when I'm just thirsty.

5: Instead of drinking coffee, I started drinking tea (very yummy)

6: I've been able to exercise just about every morning before class.

7: I managed to burn the recommended number of calories on my tracker every single week this month.

8: I FINALLY dropped the "All or nothing" attitude. If I ate bad, I still exercised, and if I ate bad, I still wrote it down.

Overall, I'm very happy about where I am. I think I really needed that time off from straight weightloss just to make sure that I could even maintain. I also needed to take a breather because I had gotten to my halfway point last year. Now that I know I can maintain, and now that I know I can lose the weight....I think I'm ready to keep going.

For December, my plan is to keep doing everything that I'm doing. The holidays are hard, but as long as I stick to my own agenda, things will be just fine.

I'm really happy with my progress and I know that I'll be successful.
I did manage to take another progress photo. I do have to say that I look WAY different. I'll post it soon.

I saw your profile comment on kids and the terror of the gym....I couldn't agree more. We all struggle with being accountable to ourselves and wanting to track a perfect day...kudos to you for carrying on and not throwing all your good effort out the window...something I struggle with everyday....hope you don't mind if I add you.
