Today I decided to dust off my INSANITY dvds. I've had them for over a year and have been too scared to try them.
I've been doing steady weight training now for over a year thanks to Jamie Eason's LiveFit program and my current obsession, Lee Labrada's Lean Body Trainer, so I figured this would be a good time to give INSANITY a shot. So what if I my technique wouldn't be perfect. So what if I needed to rest more often! So what if I needed to modify the exercises because of my knees or my back! I'll ease (huh!) my way into INSANITY by doing the Fit Test for the first time. I don't think I did half bad! My results:

Heart Rate Monitor: 25 min 342 calories burned (Spark says 126 calories)
Keep in mind that I had to modify most of the exercises because of my knees and low back.

This was supposed to be my rest day! Ha!!! The Fit Test was intense!! Now that I have bit the bullet I'm not so afraid of trying one of the workouts. Between Turbo Fire and INSANITY I'm sure to beat the cardio boredom I'm experiencing with LaBrada's Lean Body Trainer. Most days I'm fine with mindless cardio on the elliptical, but at least once a week I like to try something new and INSANITY and Turbo Fire are IT!!
