The art of being prepared - Day 3 - Back to Basics

Saturday, December 01, 2012

So as I am going to bed, I am thinking to myself... Why did I eat the baked turkey sandwich from Costco. Who am I fooling here?

My day started well, I had an awesome oatmeal smoothie, followed by veggie snacks and sea bass (pan fried) salad lunch. Later in the day I felt I was still hungry, I had already drank 8 glasses of water, I had already eaten my second snack for the day... What was it then? Why am I hungry?

I did my shopping list and decided to go to Costco... I was hungry, it was 6 pm (my dinner time)... So I though, no options here... There is no salad menu, I guess the turkey sandwich will do. Why? Why not be prepared before hand?

Note to self: do not go to Costco hungry and do not think for one moment this is acceptable.

I still counted my calorie intake and it was about 1500 but I did not exercise today so... it does not count.

I guess it is all about being prepared, knowing that in order to change your lifestyle you have to make the right choices.

Now that my grocery shopping is done, my weekend will be focused on making sure I am prepared for every meal for next week. I need to make sure I do all the cooking I am planning to do in order to succeed... This battle can be won and I am determine to fight!

Hope everyone is having a great start to the weekend. Keep up the good work and thank you for reading!

Remember it's one day at a time and to give yourself credit for the right choices you chose to make. You're trying and putting in effort that counts. Give yourself time to retrain your thinking and be positive.
