Nearing the end of week 2

Friday, November 30, 2012

This week has proven to be a tough one. emoticon

I have had headaches nearly every day of the week, sleeping 12 hours at a time just trying to get rid of it. I managed to get in my workouts this week, and will get another one in tomorrow still.

I have been really out of sorts today, almost like disoriented. I think I have been not eating as much as my body wants, so I will start taking in more calories. I think I am having some hypoglycemic symptoms. I am not diabetic, but it runs very strong in my family and I am affected by the sugar level imbalances.

I am still going strong besides being ill this week. I have been eating healthy, and trying to watch my sodium. Really examining food labels at the grocery store. I even canned 28 pints of sweet potatoes today. Makes for a quick and easy addition to any meal, and was way cheaper than buying a can of yams at the store. I got an awesome deal of .28/lb on the sweet potatoes! I figured everyone at the grocery store was probably looking at me like.. geez that lady must REALLY like sweet potatoes! Well, I do! :D

I am even starting to get my dad on the healthy eating wagon. When I prepare supper, he doesn't complain and has been a lot better about trying new things, that he has always said are gross! That alone is exciting for me, to see him support me in my journey even through small actions like trying something new. emoticon

Hoping to finish this week off strong and feeling good!

Thank you all for your encouragement and advice!

I do go to a chiropractor. I stay pretty limber most the time without going regularly. I think my headaches this week were from atmospheric pressure changes. The pressure has gone down again and my headache went away finally! It was weird because I haven't had really any headaches since I had my tonsils removed in May. Getting those nasty boulders out of my mouth made me feel better as a whole. *After 3 weeks of recovery*

Have you ever seen a chiropractor for your headaches? I know a few friends who suffer from severe migraines and the chiropractic treatments really seem to help (without the negative side effects/risks of Rx medication). Many times it's covered by insurance, too! Good luck!
