I haven't written a blog before and really didn't intend on starting to...but I have read many and it seems blogging and getting feedback from others can be very helpful in this, here I am.

Let me start by saying this is the first time I have ever been able to stick to a lifestyle change. I have started to lose weight before, but always gave up in a very short time because I would get discouraged because I didn't feel I was getting results fast enough. Even as I am writing this statement I realize how absurd that sounds. I wasn't really making the true changes I needed to. I was never truly committed to it. I just expected to do the minimum amount if work and watch the pounds drop off...well, obviously it does not work that way and I now realize that and am completely committed to this LIFESTYLE MAKEOVER and loving the way I feel now.

This realization really hit me this morning when I woke up to get the kids off to school and found myself WANTING to go for a walk...ok this was big for me for a couple reasons: #1 It was 6am! #2 It's November in it is cold...I strongly dislike the cold! It was a great walk and the dog was happy too! And it isn't only today...I have found myself looking forward to working out quite often lately and if I have a day where I am feeling less than motivated and I "make" myself get on that Gazelle or pop in that Walk Away the Pounds video for at least 10 almost always motivates me go longer...I love it!

So, that's it...this is my first blog...nothing too spectacular, but it's a start. The first time is always the hardest no matter what you are doing...right!? Thanks for reading! emoticon
