"Have you tried checking in with yourself after you type up your WUB? Ask yourself questions like:
Why didn't I meet this goal? #3 Too much coffee. I was drinking green tea and decaf a couple of months ago. I have less fibromyalgia pain when I do that. Why do I slip on this one? I think coffee will give me more energy. I don't think it does anymore.
What problems arose? Not having healthy foods available is the biggee! I don't have the patience to whip up a healthy snack at night. I need to work on that.
What could I do to prevent or circumvent those problems in the future? Have pre-measured snacks in plastic bags and plastic containers. why haven't I ever done that!!!!!!
How can I ensure I will meet this goal next week? I almost did not buy the jar of instant coffee. I debated with myself. If I did not have it, I wouldn't be frinking the caffein! But
What can I schedule right now to make sure I accomplish my tasks next week (schedule a workout, schedule a hobby activity, schedule your meals so you know what you're having and not 'forget' about a food you wanted to get eaten)?
What can you change in your house to help you meet your goals (like having less coffee available and keeping your workout/water aerobics gear packed and ready)?
Saying if you're doing something or not is one step,
now move onto the next step by really getting involved with the reasons
why you're doing or not doing something you want to.
Once you know why then you can work on how to make it easier
to do it than not do it. "
My WUB (weekly update blog) November 30 :
( 3 possible points each of six goals.)
1.Working toward 500 Fitness Minutes goal for the month of NOVEMBER. 3 points
500 points here I come!
2. "Daily base 2 of 3 meals on veggies." 2.5 points
Spaghetti squash with yogurt 'butter' and maple syrup--my new favorite.
I had salad fixin's in the fridge ready and waiting so having a salad was easy to do!
The thanksgiving false mashed potatoes from cauliflower kept me eating right.
3. " No more than one cup of coffee per day.
And drink minimum of 8 glasses of water and/or green tea per day." Third week in a row: only 1 point
because way too much caffeinated coffee!
4. "Limit SP time to 2 hours. ...
so "Me Time" is used for a hobby or seeing a friend or something active like taking a walk." 1.5 points
for the first time in 4 years I actually feel like decorating the house! Working and caregiving took all my energy. But now, being retired since last Nov., I am finally recuperating enough to do some holiday things.
5. Water aerobics at least 3 times per week---- 3 points!
6. WUB Weekly Update Blogs on these goals to keep me focused. 3 points!
