Santa Came Early

Friday, November 30, 2012

I checked my mailbox at school this afternoon and found a letter addressed to me. Most of the time we get mail from within the district, not mail from outside. There was no return address which made me curious. I opened the envelope and found a Target Gift Card inside along with a letter. The letter talked about how this person knows how many hours I put in outside the school day as well as in the summer. It went on to say how lucky the kids and their parents are to have me as their teacher. They also said they know how much of my own money I spend on my students. It was signed "Santa Claus". The gift card was in another envelope. I opened it, turned it over, and saw that it was for $100! Holy Cow! I was so overwhelmed to get this and plan to get some things for my students. I would really like to be able to thank this person. They really made my day! What a great gift!

That is awesome. And it is also awesome that your first thought is to spend this money on your students, again! Clearly, that speaks volumes and shows how much you deserve this!
