Goodbye Hazelnut Coffee Creamer

Friday, November 30, 2012

Gotta cut the creamer. Even though it is fat-free, it is not worth it the way it gobbles up my calorie space. Picked up Truvia today. This is not going to be easy.

Since you have your slogan on a tape, here's another SP motto I love when I'm in situations like this:

"If you want something, you’ll find a way; if you don’t you’ll make an excuse."

I know this is tough, no doubt. is worth it, so no more excuses, right?

    You CAN do this.

I found it helped me taper off by mixing my "old" creamer with the "new", and reducing the amount of "old" I was using over time. Going directly from the high fat/high sugar to the no fat/no sugar was too much for my tastebuds to adjust to all at once!

The tape actually says " COLLEEN DON'T DO IT" , but you guys get the point. I am going to try just the sweetener (Truvia) tomorrow . If I cant pull it off I will totally take your advice SINGINGMAIDEN, and find an alternative, more calorie-friendly, creamer . Thanks for the tip ! Took the mental note about the Country Creamer. :) Now off I go for a couple hours of nap time. I am pulling an overnight shift on a case tonight 9pm-9am. emoticon

The Truvia is good. I use either that or Splenda. If you're having trouble you can try Country Creamer which is a non-dairy creamer. Low calorie but tastes pretty good.

emoticon Failed on the creamer cut today :( It just stared me down as if it was saying " Use me, or you wont enjoy your coffee". Started with 2 tbl. and some Truvia... and them gave in and dumped another probably 4 tbs. into it ( Big to-go mug ). PuT some tape on it that reads "COLLEEN JUST SAY NO!". Getting it out of the house is not an option as my mom uses it. Will try again tom. tape in place.
