Proud of my body and being a size 4 comfortably

Friday, November 30, 2012

But worried too. Will I be able to maintain this weight loss transformation, even though some family members think I'm an anorexic now ( not true).
I'm eating healthy portions when I can and exersizing most days a week.
I don't wanna be heavy again. I like the way i feel in this body nowI have to buy myself a smaller bra today because my girls have shrunk. I'm buying two jeans one of which I will wrap up and give it to myself as a present and the other use today.
I need to stay confident about me (but how )and not worry what fam thinks. I wore a size 4 in middle school and again now.
Ideas? I am open to them.

our loved ones can certainly talk us into things we KNOW we shouldn't or don't want to do and wouldn't do otherwise

First off congratulations on hitting your goal weight! I know how family can be, they just love you and want you to be healthy. It will take time for them to get used to the new you! Just be reassuring and let them see how happy and confident you are. They will come around!
I cannot help much with the maintenance part, I still have a few pounds to go before I hit that stage! Just keep doing what you are doing and do not stop exercising and eat good healthy foods! I am sure you can do this next stage! You have the tools to do it!

Congrats! Maintenance is the most difficult part of the weight loss journey. Keep tracking all of your food, exercise, and weigh-in on a regular basis.

Good luck!

Well done for your achievement. you are right to be worried about is a very tricky thing indeed, and I have no advice for you as I just failed miserably at it and gained back 57 pounds of the 121 I'd lost in 4 1/2 months and here I am again trying to lose it (just another 35 pounds or so to go). The team At Goal and Maintaining is very useful as there you can see those who have managed to maintain for 3 or 5 years and ask for their advice. I wish you all the best on this the trickiest part of the journey. emoticon emoticon

There's a good team on here to help: At Goal and Maintaining+Transition to Maintenance. It's helpful and supportive.

You have earned it, enjoy it, and there will always be people who think you have done too much, I call them "Haters," ignore them, just point them in the direction of a new and healthy lifestyle.

Take it day by day and do what it was that got you there, only with maintenance calorie limits instead. We've got your back!
