Pieces to the puzzle.

Friday, November 30, 2012

Have you ever worked a jigsaw puzzle only to get to the end and be missing a few pieces? It's frustrating and disappointing! Sometimes it's laying on the floor or under something on the corner of the desk. Sometimes it's never to be found. It just goes to show that EVERY piece of the puzzle matters if you want the whole picture!

It's almost the end of another 12 week round of BLC (if you want information on how to be part of BLC21 starting Jan 16 look at my sparkpage). It's been a very succesful round for me. I've already exceeded my challenge goal and I've learned so much more about the journey. I've also made new friends and strengthened the bonds of friendship with several veterans.

The team is much like a puzzle. EVERY piece matters. Does that mean every piece is the same? No. Just like a puzzle each piece has a slightly different shape and color but ALL the pieces are required to make the pretty picture complete.

So it is with the women on my BLC team. We are all different but EACH brings something to the journey. Some have encouraged me to try new foods and recipes. Others have encouraged me to try new exercises and encouraged me to push harder in workout intensity or longer in time of sessions. I've learned about many new things outside the realm of diet and fitness from these women as they share about their lives. They ALL matter. EACH is part of the puzzle.

So look at your own "puzzle". Who are the people that are completing your picture? It may be the clerk in the market that helps you pick a fresh pineapple. It may be the stranger on the track whose pace you are matching. It might be the neighbor who brings you some of her fresh watermelon instead of a batch of cookies.

I'm thankful for all of them!

Pressing On!

What a lovely blog! Love the analogy.

Thanks to you one of my puzzle pieces. Thanks for opening my eyes to being thankful even for the puzzle pieces which are a little more obscure in my day.
