Today completed 3 weeks of doing my scheduled walk. I didn't miss a single time, and actually did 2 more walks than I had planned. For me, this is nothing short of amazing. I hate exercise and rarely lasted more than a couple days. This time I made an awesome walking mix on my iPod and just kept forcing myself out there.
Yesterday was day one here at SP and it went well. It was encouraging to log my food and see that I'm well within my calorie range, and was able to have an extra treat after dinner.
My next 3 goals:
1. Make it 4 weeks of walking without missing a day.
2. Keep my blood sugars under control, no crazy highs or lows.
3. Add 2 strength workouts next week.
And I gotta take this opportunity to give a shout out to my wonderful husband, Jeff. He agreed to get rid of one of the beds and turn that room into a workout room for me. Last night he hooked up my dvd player and Wii so I can do workout videos and workout games. In addition to that, I'm gonna have my yoga mat and weights in there. And to round it out, my elliptical and bike. Thanks to him, I have no excuse for missing a workout!
As my final note... Bret's Blend Tea Diet Snapple is amazing. And for all us kids of the 80s... "Bret" = "Bret Michaels" (Yes, I'm totally serious. Bret Michaels has his own Snapple tea!)
