Fitbit Zip or Fitbit The One

Friday, November 30, 2012

So I've been contemplating the Fitbit for a long time but I couldn't justify spending $100 on it. Now they have the Fitbit Zip for $60 and I love that it automatically syncs to Spark. But here is my the Zip just a glorified pedometer? Other than it syncing to Spark is it going to do much more than my $20 pedometer? I know The One tracks sleep and I think that is a really cool feature but I'm really not sure how to use the knowledge it would give me.

Anyway, just curious if anyone has used either or both. Thanks for your input!

I've been on the fence too. I really love my Omron pedometer. I haven't been convinced to make the switch.

I have the Fitbit Ultra (which they may now be calling the one. It also tells you calories burned for the day, floors climbed, and miles walked (besides the sleep feature). I bet the zip would do what you need, but not sure.

I just got the fitbit one this week and I like it a lot. I read some reviews (cnet was one of them) of the zip and the one. The consensus seemed to be that the additional $40 was worth it because of the additional functions the one provides. As well as the design of the one. I have been wearing it on my bra and don't even notice it's there.

As for the sleep measures -- I do think it's pretty cool but I also don't know how to "use" the knowledge it's giving me.

I haven't yet, but have been thinking about it so thanks for the info. Blessing!
