Thank God for my husband! Yes, again.

Friday, November 30, 2012

My sister called yesterday. The first time we have spoken since my dad passed away. My mother had a stroke while driving. They are in Ohio, I like in northern wisconsin. Mom is in the hospital, tests are being done, she will be put on CareFlight to MiamiDayton as soon as she is stable enough. They are a better hospital for stroke treatment.

I called my husband. He is scheduled to take a load to south carolina today. But he doesn't pick it up until a little later. So last night he was parked for the night. Instead of me driving straight through overnight I detoured a little and came to him. We slept in his rig, he let me cry and held me while I slept. He will load his freight in a little while, then I will follow him across indiana and into ohio. He will drop his rig off at a truck stop for a few hours and go to the hospital with me. Depending on mom's condition, he may stay overnight with me. Possible most of the day tomorrow too.

My son stayed home in wisconsin, friends and neighbors are going to keep watch over him. When we went through this 2 years ago with my dad and son went with, his teachers failed him for all the missed work. And I had arranged with the pricipal for him to be gone?! Anyway. Son is holding fort down at home. So yes, thank God for him being so good too!

Please keep us all in prayer. I lost my dad 2 years ago Dec 22, so I struggle this time of year anyway. This is not going to be easy.

I'm so sorry. I'm glad you get to see your husband a bit, I know you have really been missing him, I just wish it was for a happier reason.

Drive safely. Best wishes and good thoughts. And for your son, too, to have to stay home while this is all going on. emoticon That's awful that he was failed for a family emergency. emoticon

Take care.

I feel for you, for what youare going through, and of course it is always harder during holiday season. May the Lord buoy you up on the prayers of your brethren in Christ - may you find comfort in His arms. I'm glad you have a husband to help you through this time. Shel
