Countdown to Christmas- First Weekend in Dec

Friday, November 30, 2012

My holiday accountability blogs start this weekend, though I'll not likely do daily accountability blogs until the week or two surrounding Christmas because that is where the majority of my challenges will happen.

During the weekdays I don't have much going on. But I have something planned every weekend until we leave for Fl. So I'll do weekend accountability for now, and daily accountability later.

This weekend's challenges~
Sat- Date with my husband
Sun- Rajin Cajun (restaurant in Houston)

My plan for this weekend is to avoid the popcorn at the movie theater with my husband on Saturday. And instead of eating at a typical restaurant, I have suggested to him that we eat at Jason's Deli. I do really, really well with their salad bars! I can have a killer salad there for very low calories... lots of fresh, organic veggies!

Sunday will not likely be so great (calorie-wise). He bought a Groupon for Rajin Cajun, which is a great Cajun seafood restaurant that we just love! So I will not be eating low calorie on Sunday but plan to make up for it by running, walking, or hiking that day. Plus, it will be the only meal that I eat that day (because it's very calorie-laden).

I will update my progress on either Sunday night or Monday morning and let you know what kind of damage I do!

Today I weigh 144 lbs. I'll be happy to make it through the weekend and not gain any more than 3 lbs. The sodium alone from my meal on Sunday will inevitably cause me to gain. But I'll do damage-control next week to prepare for next weekend's challenges!

My reward for doing well this weekend and this upcoming week will be this new dress I bought for a dinner party next Sunday!!! It's a size 4. It looks boring here but I'm going to accessorize it with new boots, tights, and a scarf!! I'm usually not so adventurous in how I dress... but I figure I'd give it a try!!

    Yum Cajun!
I find it easy to avoid the Popcorn at the movies because I just can't pay $10 for popcorn. I really can't, it just feels so wrong. Of course if my Regal card spits out a coupon for a Free small popcorn, that I cannot say no to.

I am facing my own challenging weekend. with plan's to go out with friends or Family every night. Will do my best to order healthier options and keep away from the appetizers. Will be reporting in Monday myself.

I think we can be strong and make good choices! Let's kick this weekend's rump!

What a cute dress! (and of course you look fabulous in it). Just curious what dressing options you choose at Jason's Deli. Unfortunately I'm not a plain raw veggie gal yet. Remember this is the season to celebrate the love, joy and blessings in our lives. Spend extra time savoring the company of your hubby and other friends and loved ones. Focus on how you are enjoying that time and less on the food. Also remember that your health and cute little body is one of your blessings. Enjoy wearing that fab dress-- looking and feeling like a knock out!

You are surely fit and toned, besides being stunning you will look exquisite at the dinner party.

You are on top of your plan and aren't sweating the small stuff, always looking at the full picture and planning ahead with a great attitude. With these traits you are a true winner and will stay one!

You look nice in your photos. I wish you great success in your accountability challenge. It looks like you have the weightloss thing licked! Maybe you can tell your server of your concerns about sodium and the cook can go lighter. These days restaurants serve broccoli on the side or tossed salad. You can be stingy with the dressing. I would suggest having some soup on the heavy calorie day. Soup is very filling for not many calories. Keep on sparking!

We have a RajunCajun in my hometown -the owner is a blast! Good food too! I love the peel-n-eat shrimp and hushpuppies. Probably not the best option, but soooooo yummy.

I love your dress and you look fabulous in it!

    Have a great weekend!

The dress does NOT look boring!

Hawt! emoticon I love the exposed zipper, and the 3/4 sleeves really compliment the short length. (And the short length really compliments your quads and calves!)
